Welcome to Buttercup Soaps
Home of handmade goat's milk soaps and bath & body products.

Here at Buttercup Soaps, it is our goal to help you, our customer. To do this, it all begins with our main suppliers. Who's that you say..... well, actually we keep them out back. It's our goats! We milk them, feed them, and sometimes even show them the reason not to touch the hotwire. Yeah, they are one of the main reasons we got into the soap making business. Let's see, in about 2005 we started to research how to make homemade goat's milk soaps. To be completely honest, our first recipes were nothing like what we make today. They were very crude and hardly moisturizing. But we've come a long way since that time, improving formulas based on the needs of the customer and what we've learned about the ingredients that we add to our products.

Our main product has always been about our goat's milk soap. We not only make it by hand, but test it as well. You see, goat's milk was the perfect choice for a base because we had extra from our suppliers that would otherwise go to waste, but also because the pH balance falls within normal human range (Human pH is between 4.5 and 6, goat's milk is at 5.5). We wanted to give people a choice for their skin, especially after we realized how many of the ingredients/chemicals in 'commercial' soap were not helpful or even needed. Another reason is because most commercial soap's pH levels are between 9 and 11, causing some skin problems.

Other products soon followed, including an All Natural line of soaps and products. We also have a new lotion, which has the ability to moisturize dry, irritated skin. Also a number of bath products, such as Bath Fizzies, Melts, and even Salts. Then as we started to offer more and more things, the need for a gift pack was realized and so we went ahead and created a variety of them to fit your needs. Soon the idea of a semi-seasonal pack was wanted and so throughout the year we have a special pack that we offer. So be sure to see for yourself what we have to offer and thank you for stopping by Buttercup Soaps.
