As the weather begins to stop dipping into those frigid temperatures, romances are beginning to flare up. Since we are in the midst of things heating up, Buttercup Soaps has decided to join in the fun with our Fire Element soap. The wonderful, warm scent is sure to keep you happy, as well as knowing the Macadamia Nut oil is trying to keep toxins from bothering you.

Fire will engulf your senses, consuming you and helping you feel energetic and revived, both mentally & emotionally. Bergamot essential oil, as well as honey, are known to help heal burns and clear up breakouts. Macadamia Nut oil was used to create a barrier to the skin, which in turn keeps toxins from penetrating. A warming aroma uplifts your spirit. (Clove, wood sap, honey)

So this is our soap rack where you'll find our list of soaps, broken up into categories for your ease of shopping. For more information on our soaps, see the next few paragraphs, otherwise feel free to jump to your favorite selection.

So, you'd like to know a bit more about our soaps. Well, first off, all of the soaps are made with goat's milk and are handmade by us. This allows us to formulate for your needs. Also, all of our soaps are considered mostly natural, since we use skin safe fragrances & colorants in most of them. But don't worry, we do have some that are totally natural, so they don't have any of the worry of unnatural additives, such as color or fragrance oils (we do use essential oils for these soaps). We currently offer over 15 types of soap (in 25 fragrances) to suit any skin type, from very dry to oily.

What are the benefits of using our soaps? That is an excellent question, let's see if I can answer that for you. Our soaps don't contain any detergents, alcohols, unnatural preservatives, hardeners or foamers, which are usually found in commercial soaps. Also the pH balance is extremely close to human pH, so your skin is not likely to build up a tolerance to our soap. When you step out of the shower, your skin will look and feel better.

Another thing that happens with skin is something called 'sluffing'. This is what happens when your skin renews itself, especially prevalent during the fall and spring, which is when your skin gets rid of the summer and winter coats basically. However this also happens when you first begin to use our soaps. As your body gets rid of the skin that has been used to fighting the harsh chemicals and high pH levels of regular soap, your skin is finally able to shed off. We actually have a couple of soaps under our natural line that would assist with this process, the Lavender Bud soap and the Spa bar. Both have natural exfoliating ingredients in them and help your skin immensely.

After your bath or shower, you may find yourself needing some moisturizing items, or possibly you want something to prolong the wonderful fragrance from the shower. If you do, let me know and I'll be happy to show them to you, over in our Bath & Body section.

Please remember

Fragrances and types change with availability. We make our soaps in small batches and cut them by hand.
For special orders, it takes 6 weeks for cure time and you must order at least 5 bars of that fragrance. Some soaps may not be able to have certain fragrances added due to the specific properties of that soap. Please be aware that you won't receive the product for 8 weeks on special orders.

Elements Soaps

'Earth' Element
~Stability, Strong & Solid~

The Earth soap helps lay the groundwork and rebuild a solid foundation for your skin. Neem oil, as well as Rosemary essential oil, helps deodorize skin while being able to address skin fungus and irritations. Cocoa butter soothes the skin. The fragrance reminds you of walking through a forest path with lush, rich undergrowth.

If pregnant or prone to seizures, it is not recommended to use rosemary essential oil.

'Air' Element

For those who want a light moisturizer, Air helps to cleanse and clarify your mind. Sunflower seed oil for it's breathable moisturizing and lavender essential oil to leave you feeling fresh and more relaxed. The fragrance lets you feel like you've been kissed by a nice summer breeze.

Natural Soaps

Calendula Soap
^{For sensitive skin.}

An all natural soap with Calendula oil & petals. Doesn't have the additional fragrances or colorants that are found in our other soaps. Calendula helps to ease eczema & psoriasis. Great for very young & mature skin, anyone can use this great product, especially if you have very sensitive skin.

Lavender Bud Soap

Love the benefits of lavender? The fragrance, how it helps you relax, helps headaches go away. Lavender is known for its uses - antibacterial, deodorizing and muscle relaxation. Our Lavender Bud Soap is made with real lavender buds grown locally here in Idaho, by Faithful Farms. We use their lavender because we know they are fresh and of good quality. The soap then is enhanced with extra shea and cocoa butter. To top that off, we add lavender essential oil before pouring it into the mold. This way, most of the properties of the lavender oil stays with the soap.

Spa Soap

For those who want all the benefits of a salt soak or salt scrub, without the hassle. Our spa bar scrubs away dead skin and detoxifies your skin in the lather to be rinsed away in one easy step. Similar to a salt bar, only an 'All Natural' bar made with Himalayan salts and with the added benefits of spearmint and lavender essential oils. This great combination helps you deodorize and relax at the same time.
Excessive use can be drying to skin due to salt content.

Magic Velvet Soap

This soap is the best of two worlds. We've combined the Lavender Bud soap with our Calendula soap to create a nice exfoliating soap that is all natural and smells great. It has the healing properties of the calendula for your skin and the aromatherapy properties of the lavender for your senses.

Wine Smoothie Soap

We have blended wine with goats milk to make a smoothie soap. Wine lovers rejoice to this mixture of fruit and berries. This also works great as a shampoo. Our red wine is a fragrant, enthralling blend of grapes and late summer berries. The white wine harmoniously blends pears, melons, grapes, and citrus notes together.

Tipsy Goat Soap

For a fun time, get the soap that is perfect for 'Happy Hour'. It's the soap that is made with beer and goat's milk and is perfect to use as a shaving soap as well, which we highly recommend for that purpose. Winter Ale is brisk, with tones of spruce and sage.
